lisa chase potter
Lisa teaches American Sign Language as a foreign language at Louisiana School for the Deaf. She also teaches ASL to the community at LSD. Her experiences include teaching all subjects in Elementary education, working with preschoolers, and being an advocate for herself and to the Deaf community. She is currently a member of Louisiana Association of the Deaf, Deaf Tiger Organization, Greater New Orleans Association of the Deaf, New Orleans Deaf Black Advocate, National Deaf Black Advocate, and First Baptist Deaf Church. Her past experiences include Secretary of Louisiana Association of the Deaf and Greater New Orleans Association of the Deaf. Lisa is a member and working towards her advance level from American Sign Language Teacher Association. Moreover, she has several degrees which include Associate of Arts in Early Childhood from Delgado College, Bachelor's of Arts in Elementary Education from LSU, and Master of Arts from McDaniel College. Her honors include Phi Theta Kappa from Delgado, Kappa Delta Epsilon and Omicron Delta Epsilon from LSU.

amy watson
Amy graduated from Gallaudet Unversity and currently is in Graduate school at Lamar University for a Deaf Education degree. She is a middle school teacher at the Louisiana School for the Deaf. She is a full time mom to twin daughters, one is hearing the other is deaf.
VICE PRESIDENT
wendy brinkmann
Wendy has been a business owner and interpreter for over 20 years and has extensive knowledge about assistive technology for deaf and hard of hearing individuals. As a Hard of Hearing member of the Deaf Community, she has served as past Treasurer and President of the Louisiana Association of the Deaf and other boards and committees addressing the rights & needs of the Deaf Community. Wendy holds a BA from Southeastern Louisiana University and attended graduate school at University of Tennessee and Louisiana State University.

jennie bourgeois
Jennie maintains NIC and Ed-K:12 sign language certifications through RID and EIPA. In addition, she holds a BA degree from Louisiana State University and a Masters degree in Education focusing on Adult and Organizational learning from Northeastern University.
Jennie has been serving the deaf and hard of hearing communities and providing sign language interpreting for 20 years within Louisiana and nationally.
